This session is a on-off taster before we launch our short courses - perfect for either new filmmakers or those wanting to recap and further their knowledge. There is a lot of noise online so we leave space to ask questions and learn with professionals at your own pace.

Think you need a van-load of lights to make cinematic magic? Think again. In this workshop, we’ll mix light theory with hands-on practice to help you create safe, creative, and budget-friendly lighting setups for film.

A reimagined take on 3-point lighting

Each session will have a unique focus—experimenting with different modifiers such as poly boards, gels, and flags, or exploring creative themes like motivated vs surreal lighting—so you can come back and learn something new every time.

Mainly, we’ll work with just one electrical light source, so you can take your skills home without breaking the bank. It's also a collaborative workshop so you will be often in groups of two - perfect to take part with a friend!
